    You Are What You Read

by Tim Murray About three decades ago nutritionists introduced a new phrase which became a standard cliché of the language. “You are what you eat.” But if I was to play the game of reductionism, I would proffer an equally succinct definition of personal identity. It is has been my experience that you are what you read. What you read, or what you choose to read, tells me almost everything I need to know about what you think, assuming you think. It is also my experience that most of us read, not to challenge our beliefs, but to buttress them. We have a huge psychological investment in our core beliefs,…

Signs of ‘Diversity’ or Cultural Disintegration?

Rainbow crosswalks, safe from free speech zones, Punjabi street signs, trans-hyper-whatever-gender toilets — a small visual guide to collective hysteria and cultural decomposition in Canada. by Tim Murray Vancouver loves its Rainbow Crosswalks. So do Victoria, Calgary, Terrace, and Edmonton. There are some flags the Flagshop won’t sell however. Can you guess which ones? Ask for the “Stars and Bars” and see their reaction. Shopping Mall in Richmond, BC Street sign in Edmonton, Alberta Bilingual ATM The third silhouette is interesting. Wonder what that says about ethnic crime rates in this neighbourhood? You don’t have to go to Vancouver to be ‘enriched’. One of the many signs that adorn North…

Diversity as Competence? Implications of Trudeau’s Socially Engineered Cabinet

by Paul Bradley Justin Trudeau’s ‘gender parity cabinet’. If primary sexual characteristics are considered a qualification for office, will skin colour become the next criteria of competence? Where would put that Canadian democracy — and Euro-Canadians? One of the most profound social implications of Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party victory in the recent Canadian election can be summarized in a single word — diversity. The ramifications of this unprecedented political development are not to be overlooked. Within this scenario, the most topical issue is the establishment of “gender quality” in government, whereby our freshly minted Prime Minister created his cabinet based upon an equal representation of men and women.…

    Daily Encounters with “New Canadians”

by Micheal Goodman, contributing to Ocean Drive “New Canadians” Not long ago while I was performing my job, a customer approached me and asked for something which I was unable to comply with, by the book. I admit I’m not a saint and have broken some rules in my life, but when it comes to safety I tend to follow that elusive book. Not thinking much about my brief yet polite refusal to comply with the request, suddenly I found myself being called a white racist and many other adjectives which I will leave to your imagination. After hearing I was a racist I took a good look and realized…

    A Crisis of Devotion

by Dorin Alexandru, contributing to Ocean Drive The delusional state of most young European males Today the young European male faces a crisis of devotion. Society has robbed him of a place to pour out his energies. Instead of worthwhile pursuits he is guided towards entertaining his lower nature. He finds temporary relief in artifice yet always returns to his pillow knowing it has led to nil. He is in a constant state of having yet to live while living vicariously through symbolic realities. The commodification of sexuality has narrowed his love pursuits to an entirely economic level. His objective is no longer to cultivate and father a community but…

Interview with Ricardo Duchesne: The Myth of Canadian Multiculturalism

(Editor’s Note: The following interview was conducted with the German magazine Blaue Narzisse in May 2015 (parts I and II). Below is the unpublished English version.) Blaue Narzisse: You describe Western Civilization in your book as “unique”. What does it make so unique? And in what way are we different from other civilizations? [German] Ricardo Duchesne: All cultures have unique customs, language(s), beliefs, geographical characteristics, and historical experiences. But the West has been exceptionally unique since its prehistoric origins in the Proto-Indo-European world of the fourth millennium, beginning as a pastoral people from the Pontic-Caspian steppes. Indo-Europeans initiated the most mobile way of life in their time, associated with the…

Ban Muslim Immigration? Trump Is Right.

by Tim Murray Presidential candidate Donald Trump with his campaign slogan CNN is pulling out all stops to discredit Trump. That joke of a reporter, Chris Cuomo — the son of the ultra-liberal Democratic Governor of New York — was raving out of control in his “interview” with Trump. But he wasn’t the only one. A series of interviews with other anti-Trump figures followed, plus innumerable panel discussions that were stacked against Trump. One panellist, an African-American pastor, stood up from Trump’s call for a ban on all Muslim immigration. He said that when Ebola broke out in West Africa a couple of years ago, the US government placed a…

Get Your Priorities Straight: Muslim Immigration Is a TRIVIAL Issue

by Tim Murray Green oracle George Monbiot, rock star columnist for The Guardian, said some months ago that Islamic terrorism was no big deal. In fact, in the UK, he wrote, it is less dangerous than wearing the wrong pair of slippers. Unlike climate change, he asserted, the growing strength of Islam is not “an existential threat”. In other words, don’t sweat the small stuff. So if you are caught defenceless in a restaurant or classroom or movie theatre by a violent jihadist with an automatic weapon, just remember, climate change is an existential threat. I mean, for God’s sake, put things into perspective will you? While the science on…
